The Anton Heyboer society

The Anton Heyboer Society is a non-profit organization which was formed in Tilburg on 26 January 2021.

The objects of the Society, as defined in its Constitution, are to promote public awareness and knowledge of the artworks by Anton Heyboer and to perform any other acts relating or potentially conducive to this in the broadest sense.

The Anton Heyboer Archives, which are managed by the Society, serve as a knowledge base for academic research and as a reference repository for miscellaneous publications about Anton Heyboer’s work.

The Anton Heyboer Society initiates, assists and cooperates in the realization of exhibition projects and publications.

Organizational structure

The Anton Heyboer Society is a non-profit organization which was formed in Tilburg on 26 January 2021. 

The daily board of the Society is formed by the chairman, secretary and treasurer. The board is supported by an advisory board.

The members of the Society’s Board and Advisory Board receive no remuneration.

Publications and Exhibitions.

In order to achieve the widest possible dissemination abroad, the publications will be published bilingual, e.g. Dutch and English 

Publications in progress:

  1. A catalogue raisonné of all the etchings of Heyboer from 1950 to 1965 to be published by the Anton Heyboer Society in 2024. This will be the most extensive and best researched publication on all the etching work of Anton Heyboer from 1950 up to 1965. This publication will consist of two volumes, each approx. 375 pages with reproductions  in full color of more than 850 etchings from both foreign and Dutch museum and private collections.
  1. A second publication will consist of the drawings, collages and etchings made by Heyboer in the period 1970-1973.
  1. In preparation is the photobook ‘Het Erf van Anton Heyboer’ (Anton Heyboer’s Yard)’, a book with photograph’s of the living quarters and atelier of Anton Heyboer and his four muses in Den Ilp, The Netherlands. The photographs were already made in 2020.
